Grand Forks, ND – A weak weather system will move through North Dakota on Friday, bringing a wintry mix of rain and snow. The system is expected to impact areas west of the Red River Valley, with snowfall accumulations up to an inch in some places.

According to the National Weather Service in Grand Forks, the wintry mix will start Friday morning, with a 50% chance of rain or snow throughout the day. Temperatures are forecast to range from 23°F to 28°F in the morning, reaching highs between 35°F and 43°F by the afternoon. The snow and rain will gradually push eastward as the day progresses.

By Saturday, the weather will clear up, with mostly sunny skies expected and temperatures in the mid-30s to low 40s. Sunday will remain sunny but breezy, with temperatures ranging from 32°F to 42°F. Winds will shift to the north/northwest, making it feel cooler.

Residents are advised to prepare for slippery roads Friday, especially in areas with snow accumulation, and to enjoy the sunny, milder weather over the weekend.
