Paducah, KY – Kentucky and Missouri residents are gearing up for a hot and humid start to the week, with temperatures soaring into the upper 90s. The National Weather Service in Paducah, Kentucky, has issued a forecast predicting heat index values between 105 and 110 degrees through Tuesday. A slow-moving cold front will begin to change the weather pattern by Tuesday afternoon, bringing increasing chances of thunderstorms.

According to the US National Weather Service, scattered thunderstorms are expected to begin Tuesday afternoon and continue through Thursday morning. Some of these thunderstorms may produce heavy rain, with localized flooding a possibility. Cooler and less humid conditions are expected to follow for the latter part of the week.

In Missouri, similar weather conditions are anticipated. Today’s high will reach 94 degrees, with temperatures remaining in the mid-90s through Tuesday. The forecast for Wednesday indicates a 60% chance of thunderstorms, bringing some much-needed relief from the heat. Thursday and Friday will see cooler temperatures, with highs in the low 80s and reduced humidity.

Paducah will also experience a significant drop in temperatures by Thursday, with highs falling to the low 80s. The week will end with temperatures ranging between 81 and 85 degrees, providing a break from the oppressive heat.
