Wayne County, IN – A tragic scene unfolded in Wayne County, Indiana, on Thursday afternoon as a husband and wife were found dead in their Richmond home.
According to the Richmond Police Department, Carl R. Mullen, 62, and Laura A. Mullen, 48, were discovered with gunshot wounds at their residence at 830 South 6th St. Responding officers and medics from the Richmond Fire Department arrived at the scene around 4:28 pm after receiving reports of two unresponsive individuals.
The Wayne County Coroner’s Office has taken over the investigation, and the bodies were sent to the Montgomery County Ohio Crime Lab for forensic autopsies.
An investigation into the case is ongoing.
