Waukesha County, WI – Two children were hospitalized Saturday evening after a vehicle struck them while they were riding a minibike in the Village of Lisbon, authorities said.
According to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 6:00 p.m. on October 18, 2025, when a 26-year-old woman driving a car hit an 11-year-old boy and 8-year-old girl who were operating a minibike on a roadway.
Deputies said the boy was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition. The girl was transported by family members to a hospital with minor injuries.
The 26-year-old driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators, officials said. The Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office has been consulted and will review potential charges in connection with the crash.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol, the Village of Lac La Belle and City of New Berlin Police Departments, and the City of Pewaukee Fire Department.
Authorities said the crash remains under investigation.
