Waukesha, WI – The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department will host its 14th annual “Shop with a Sheriff” event on December 8, 2024. This holiday tradition, in collaboration with Waukesha County Health and Human Services, aims to spread cheer by assisting local families in need.

Each child participating in the event will team up with a deputy or corrections officer to shop for holiday gifts. This experience brings joy and ensures that each family has a memorable holiday season. By sharing this experience, the Sheriff’s Department and community volunteers aim to create lasting positive memories for children.

Meijer generously sponsors the event, providing vital support alongside local businesses and individual donors. Contributions from the community are essential for the event’s success. Donations can be mailed to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, care of Captain Michelle Leffler. Contributions should be made payable to the WDCA (Waukesha Deputy Charities Association).

The department extends heartfelt thanks to Meijer and all contributors for their dedication to the community. Their support ensures a brighter holiday season for Waukesha County families.
