Gilman, IL – Gilman residents have been urged to conserve water as the levels in the city’s water tower are dangerously low. Consecutive days of a heat index over 100°F have exacerbated the situation.

According to the Gilman Community Fire Protection District, immediate action is needed to prevent further depletion. The City of Gilman issued the alert, emphasizing the critical nature of the shortage and the necessity for residents to reduce water usage.

Measures suggested include limiting outdoor water use and taking shorter showers. Authorities are monitoring the situation and will provide updates as needed.
