According to the National Weather Service Spokane, Washington Pass may receive 4 to 8 inches of snow by Monday morning, while Stevens Pass could see 1 to 3 inches as rain turns to snow Sunday evening. Lookout Pass, primarily experiencing rain, will transition to a rain-snow mix by early Monday. With snow levels potentially dropping to around 3,700 feet by Monday night, drivers can expect slushy and icy conditions across key passes.
The National Weather Service advises travelers to exercise caution and prepare for reduced visibility and slippery roadways. Motorists planning travel through these areas should monitor the latest forecasts and consider alternative routes or timing to avoid peak snowfall.
In addition to the mountain weather, Spokane’s forecast anticipates rain through Sunday, with highs around 60°F and gusts up to 24 mph. Showers will continue into Monday, followed by partly sunny conditions on Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to reach the low 50s, with lows dipping into the 30s by midweek. Rain chances will persist Wednesday, with snow levels potentially falling as low as 3,700 feet by Thursday morning, bringing cooler air across the region.
