Spokane, WA – Drivers across Eastern Washington are facing slippery roads as a winter weather advisory remains in effect, bringing additional snowfall to Spokane, Pullman, Pomeroy, and surrounding areas.

According to the National Weather Service in Spokane, the advisory remains active for Spokane and surrounding areas until 10 a.m. Monday, while it extends to 10 p.m. Monday for the Washington Palouse and Lower Garfield and Asotin Counties. Expected snowfall includes up to one inch in Spokane, up to two inches in Pomeroy, and locally up to three inches near Pullman.

Travelers should prepare for hazardous road conditions, especially on major routes like Highway 20, Alpowa Summit, and Sherman Pass. Morning and evening commutes will be affected, with reduced visibility and slick roads increasing the risk of accidents.

Residents are urged to slow down, allow extra travel time, and check for updatesfrom the Washington State Department of Transportation (wsdot.wa.gov/travel). Additional snow accumulation could create dangerous driving conditions into Monday night.

This storm follows a pattern of winter weather across the region, with colder temperatures and precipitation continuing into the week.
