Seattle, WA – The air bites along the waterfront this morning, and frost clings to parked cars across Seattle. At 29 degrees, it feels like midwinter again.

As of mid-morning, Boeing Field reports 29°F with a wind chill near 25 degrees. Skies remain partly cloudy, and humidity sits near 71 percent. Highs climb to about 43 degrees this afternoon, but the cold start raises concern for slick spots in shaded areas.

Bridges and overpasses can refreeze quickly.

According to the National Weather Service in Seattle, a slight chance of rain develops late tonight, with a brief rain and snow mix possible before daybreak. Little or no snow accumulation is expected, but temperatures near freezing could create isolated icy patches.

Saturday brings a 70 percent chance of rain, mainly after 10 a.m., with highs near 48 degrees. Any early mix transitions to steady rain. By Sunday, rain chances jump to 80 percent with highs in the low 50s.

Plan extra time on I-5 and I-90 this weekend. Wet pavement and reduced visibility will slow traffic.

Rain becomes widespread Sunday night into Monday, with a 100 percent chance of precipitation and highs near 49 degrees Monday. Showers linger into Tuesday with highs around 50 degrees.

The pattern stays cool and unsettled into midweek, but longer-range guidance hints at gradual moderation beyond the five-day window. Signs point toward milder air building late next week, offering early spring warmth across western Washington.
