Seattle, Washington – Summer arrives early in Seattle with a streak of sunny days and rising temperatures beginning Friday, bringing ideal conditions for weekend travel and outdoor events.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday will be mostly sunny in King County with a high near 78°F and calm northwest winds between 5 to 7 mph. Roads like I-5 and I-90 are expected to stay clear of weather-related disruptions through Sunday, making it a perfect stretch for local travel and recreation.

Saturday continues the warming trend with highs nearing 79°F under clear skies. Overnight lows will hover near 58°F. By Sunday, Seattle could hit 85°F — the warmest day of the year so far. The weather remains dry and sunny, which is great for festivals and lake outings, but residents should wear sunscreen and stay hydrated, especially during midday hours.

Looking into early next week, Monday stays sunny with a high of 82°F. Slightly cooler weather returns Tuesday and Wednesday with partly to mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid-70s. No rain is forecast during this stretch.

While no official advisories are in place, the UV index will likely reach high levels each afternoon. Officials urge outdoor workers and event-goers to take precautions.
