Seattle, Washington – Warm weather is settling over western Washington as a dry, sunny stretch grips the Seattle area through the weekend, with daily highs climbing into the upper 70s and low 80s.
According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday will bring partly sunny skies and a high near 72°F, with light winds from the north increasing to 6 mph in the morning. No rain is expected through at least Monday, and humidity levels will stay low—conditions that can increase brush and roadside fire risks, especially in King and Pierce Counties.
Thursday and Friday will remain sunny, with highs reaching 75°F and 77°F, respectively. Drivers commuting on I-5 and I-90 should watch for sun glare during early morning and late afternoon hours. Overnight lows will hover in the low-to-mid 50s, offering cool relief but little moisture.
Outdoor activity is safe and encouraged, but local officials urge residents to hydrate frequently, avoid open flames, and secure any outdoor burning materials. Winds will stay light, shifting from northeast to northwest later in the week.
The region hasn’t seen measurable rainfall since late May, and with temperatures rising to near 83°F by Sunday, early summer conditions are in full effect. This dry stretch may resemble last year’s early June pattern that led to heightened fire alerts.
More updates will follow if NWS issues any heat or fire advisories later this week.
