Seattle, WA – Seattle residents can expect a mixed weather pattern heading into the weekend, with drier conditions early in the week but heavy rain anticipated by Friday. As temperatures hover in the low to mid-50s, the forecast calls for partly sunny skies on Thursday before a significant chance of rain arrives by Friday afternoon, potentially impacting evening commuters along Interstate 5.

According to the National Weather Service, Seattle should see a high of around 53°F on Thursday with mostly sunny skies and calm winds, offering a brief break from overcast conditions. However, by Thursday night, clouds will increase with a 20% chance of rain after 10 p.m. Rain will intensify on Friday, especially in the evening hours, with a 60% likelihood during the day and an 80% chance by nightfall, making roads slick and potentially hazardous.

Saturday brings the heaviest rain, with an expected 90% chance throughout the day as temperatures remain mild around 55°F. The rainfall could make travel challenging, especially along I-5, with a high volume of rain expected to last into Saturday night and Sunday. Those with outdoor plans should consider rescheduling or come prepared with rain gear.
