Moses Lake, WA – A 20-year-old Moses Lake man was arrested late Friday night after a high-speed chase on Interstate 90 that reached speeds of more than 120 miles per hour, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said they first spotted the driver, identified as Jordan Wheeler, when his silver Ford Mustang allegedly shut off its headlights and accelerated eastbound near the Dodson Road exit. The pursuit continued for several miles before Moses Lake Police deployed spike strips near Exit 176, bringing the chase to an end.
According to authorities, Wheeler was taken into custody without injuries. He is being held at the Grant County Jail on suspicion of attempting to elude police, two counts of reckless endangerment, and third-degree driving with a suspended license.
Deputies said a juvenile passenger was inside the vehicle at the time of the pursuit but was not injured. No bystanders were harmed during the incident.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office noted the case remains under investigation.
