Seattle, WA – A cold weather advisory remains in effect for Seattle and surrounding areas, with freezing temperatures and wind chills as low as 15°F expected through Wednesday morning. The National Weather Service warns that prolonged exposure could lead to hypothermia, especially for vulnerable populations.

According to the NWS Seattle office, the advisory covers areas including Bellevue, Everett, Tacoma, and Bremerton. Temperatures will remain below freezing overnight, with lows in the mid-20s and wind chills between 15 and 20 degrees. The coldest conditions are expected early Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

Residents are advised to take precautions by staying indoors as much as possible, checking on elderly neighbors, and ensuring pets remain inside. The NWS also warns against improper use of heating devices, such as generators or grills, indoors due to carbon monoxide risks.

While skies will remain mostly clear, a slight chance of snow returns Thursday night into Friday. Warmer temperatures in the 40s are expected by the weekend.
