Pendleton, OR – A winter weather advisory remains in effect for parts of Oregon and Washington as snow continues to accumulate in the region. The National Weather Service warns that travel conditions may be hazardous in the Blue Mountains and East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades through Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Pendleton, the advisory remains in place until 2 p.m. PDT Tuesday for the Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon and the Northwest Blue Mountains in Washington. These areas, including Ski Bluewood Resort, Meacham, and Tollgate, could receive up to six inches of additional snowfall.

Meanwhile, the East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades, including Sunriver, La Pine, Sisters, and Camp Sherman, remain under a winter weather advisory until 5 p.m. PDT Tuesday. Snowfall is expected to accumulate up to four inches above 4,500 feet, making travel challenging in higher elevations.

Officials advise residents and travelers to plan ahead and stay informed as winter weather persists in the region.
