Chehalis, WA – A Centralia man was taken into custody Thursday after allegedly fleeing the scene of a single-vehicle crash that left a woman injured in Chehalis.

According to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 2900 block of Jackson Highway earlier in the day and found that the male driver had run from the crash, abandoning an injured female passenger inside the vehicle.

A nearby witness reportedly saw the man running through a field. Deputies, assisted by K9 Kimbo and his handler, located the suspect hiding in a brush line, where he was apprehended without further incident.

Authorities identified the suspect as 38-year-old Seth T. Lloyd of Centralia. He was booked into the Lewis County Jail on one count of felony hit-and-run.

The sheriff’s office thanked Chehalis Police Department, Centralia Police Department and the Washington State Patrol for their assistance in the containment and arrest.
