Seattle, WA – Hot weather is set to return to Seattle later this week, with temperatures reaching the 80s to low 90s on Thursday and Friday. The National Weather Service (NWS) Seattle has issued widespread moderate (orange) HeatRisk warnings for both days, cautioning residents to prepare for warm overnight temperatures as well. This heat wave is expected to continue into early next week, with cooler temperatures anticipated along the immediate coast.

According to NWS Seattle, the weekend forecast indicates persistent warmth, with highs remaining in the mid-80s on Saturday and Sunday. Monday will likely see temperatures peak at around 86 degrees before a slight cool-down on Tuesday when highs are expected to drop into the upper 70s.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid strenuous outdoor activities during the peak heat, and ensure that vulnerable individuals, such as children and pets, are not left in hot vehicles. The NWS also recommends taking breaks in the shade or air-conditioned spaces to mitigate the effects of the heat.
