Washington Domestic Violence Suspect Arrested After Alleged Stabbing in Adams County

Adams County, WA – A domestic violence incident led to a stabbing and multi-agency manhunt Monday evening in Adams County, resulting in the arrest of a 36-year-old man.

According to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 7:23 p.m. to a reported stabbing in the 700 block of South Thacker Road. Upon arrival, authorities located a woman with a stab wound. Investigators later determined the injury stemmed from an alleged domestic violence altercation between the victim and her partner, identified as Gilberto Valdovinos-Medina. The suspect reportedly fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle before deputies arrived.

The victim was transported to Othello Community Hospital, where she was treated for injuries described as non-life-threatening and later released.

Valdovinos-Medina was located in Grant County following a coordinated search effort involving the Grant County Sheriff’s Office and the Moses Lake Police Department. He was found hiding in a residence and taken into custody without incident.

Authorities booked Valdovinos-Medina into jail on suspicion of several domestic violence-related charges:

  • Assault in the First Degree
  • Felony Harassment
  • Robbery in the First Degree

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office credited surrounding law enforcement agencies for their swift cooperation in apprehending the suspect and ensuring public safety.
