Baltimore, Md. – Residents across Maryland are getting a break from summer humidity as Canadian high pressure brings cooler-than-normal temperatures and sunny skies through midweek. Winds remain light, and conditions are expected to stay dry across both urban areas and the mountains.

According to the National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington, highs on Monday range from the upper 60s to mid-70s around the bay and metro areas, with mountain towns staying cooler in the upper 50s to mid-60s. Tuesday and Wednesday will follow a similar pattern, with daytime highs reaching 68 to 76 in Baltimore and Washington, while mountain areas stay in the 60s.

The stretch of clear weather will make for comfortable outdoor conditions across the state. Light northeast to east winds between 5 and 10 mph will keep the air crisp, especially in higher elevations. Travelers along I-70 and I-81 can expect smooth driving conditions, and local airports are not anticipating weather-related delays.

The pleasant spell is expected to hold through Wednesday before a shift in the weather pattern later in the week. Officials urge residents to take advantage of the comfortable stretch before more unsettled conditions return.
