Jonesborough, TN – A Johnson City man has been arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated child abuse or neglect, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Keith Sexton said deputies arrested 30-year-old Marcus Stewart Wright on Tuesday, Oct. 28, following a citizen report of possible abuse. Deputies obtained warrants and, with assistance from Sullivan County authorities, located and detained Wright.

According to the sheriff’s office, Wright is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $26,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, Oct. 29.
