Jonesborough, TN – A Washington County man was arrested Friday evening after deputies say he allegedly assaulted a woman and threatened her with a firearm during a domestic incident.

According to Sheriff Keith Sexton, deputies responded to a home in the 100 block of Old Wagon Road around 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 27. The victim reported that during an argument, 26-year-old Liam M. Lawlor allegedly pointed a gun at her, threatened to kill her, and shoved her into a window with enough force to shatter it. Deputies noted injuries consistent with her statement as well as broken glass inside the home.

Sheriff Sexton said Lawlor admitted to a prior conviction for aggravated assault, and a criminal history check confirmed the record. Deputies obtained a search warrant for his residence, where they located multiple rounds of ammunition, along with loaded AR and 9 mm magazines. However, no firearms were recovered.

Lawlor was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, Sept. 29.
