Antelope, OR – Oregon State Police are asking the public’s help in identifying two individuals accused of poaching a cow elk near Antelope earlier this month.

According to the Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife Division, the incident occurred on Sept. 6, 2025, around 4:45 a.m. — before legal hunting hours. A trail camera on private property first captured an image of the elk, followed shortly after by photos of two individuals standing over the carcass. Police say the suspects allegedly trespassed on the land, gutted the elk, and fled.

Investigators believe the vehicle used was a light-colored 2001–2004 Nissan Frontier equipped with an older canopy and a roof rack. Trail camera images of both the truck and the individuals have been released by authorities.

OSP officials said that information leading to the identification, citation, or arrest of the suspects could result in a $1,000 reward or four preference points toward future hunting tags.

Anyone with knowledge about the suspects or the vehicle is asked to contact the Oregon State Police Northern Command Center at 800-442-0776, or email TIP@osp.oregon.gov. Callers can also dial *OSP (*677) from a mobile device. Police ask tipsters to reference case number SP25-396292.
