Warrenville, IL – A St. Charles man with seven active failure-to-appear arrest warrants will remain in custody after being accused of robbing a Warrenville Dollar Store Plus at 2S521 IL Route 59, authorities said.
According to DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin, 31-year-old Emmanuel Herrera-Mendez allegedly stole approximately $221 from the store on Monday after threatening a clerk. Police apprehended him minutes later at a nearby apartment complex following a brief foot chase. Officers allegedly recovered cash, narcotic residue, and stolen identification cards.
Herrera-Mendez is charged with aggravated robbery and is scheduled to appear in court on March 17.
