Pueblo, Colorado — Temperatures across southern Colorado are expected to climb above seasonal normals today, but a cold front arriving tonight will bring much colder air and a chance for very light snow, according to the National Weather Service in Pueblo.

Forecasters say highs today will be significantly warmer, with many locations reaching into the 40s and 50s. The warmer conditions will be short-lived, however, as another cold front moves through the region overnight.

The incoming front is expected to produce very light snow, mainly along the Palmer Divide, from late tonight through Monday morning. Snow accumulations are forecast to remain minimal, with little to no accumulation expected outside of higher elevations.

Behind the front, much colder temperatures will settle in for Monday, with daytime highs returning closer to seasonal averages or below. The colder air will be felt regionwide, even in areas that do not see snowfall.

The National Weather Service advises residents to be prepared for changing weather conditions, especially for early Monday travel in areas that receive light snow.
