Cherokee County, GA – A Waleska man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison following a violent domestic assault on his girlfriend, prosecutors announced this week.

According to the Cherokee County District Attorney’s Office, Logan Ben Jordan, 24, pleaded guilty on September 11 to multiple charges, including false imprisonment, aggravated assault, and aggravated battery. The case stemmed from an October 2022 attack at a Woodstock home that left the victim with lasting physical and emotional scars.

Prosecutors said Jordan allegedly struck the woman, stabbed a mattress with a knife, threatened to kill her, and dragged her through multiple rooms before the violence spilled outside. The victim, who continues to suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, delivered an emotional statement in court describing ongoing trauma, flashbacks, and fear.

Deputy Chief ADA Rachel Ashe called it a “sustained, violent attack” and said the victim showed courage by attending every court date until sentencing.

Superior Court Judge Jennifer L. Davis sentenced Jordan to 50 years, with 15 to be served in the Georgia Department of Corrections and the remainder on probation. Conditions include no contact with the victim, substance abuse treatment, restitution, and strict compliance with probation requirements.

District Attorney Susan K. Treadaway said the case reflects the office’s commitment to holding perpetrators accountable. “We commend the victim for her extraordinary courage and perseverance throughout this process,” she stated.

This case was investigated by the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by the DA’s Domestic Violence Unit.
