Waldorf, MD – Detectives with the Charles County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Wednesday morning in the parking lot of the Westlake Dash-In on Smallwood Drive in Waldorf.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, two adult males were shot during the incident. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Officials confirmed that neither victim was an employee of the business. A preliminary investigation indicates the shooting may have been targeted toward a group of individuals standing near the gas pumps, though no further details have been released.
