According to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded February 17, 2018, to the 12100 block of Ell Lane for a reported shooting. When deputies arrived, they located a man suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body.

The victim was identified as Brandon Briscoe, a 24-year-old Waldorf resident. He was transported to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
