Following months of investigation, deputies obtained arrest warrants for 36-year-old Rafael Stefan Williams, who now faces multiple felony charges. Authorities said Williams allegedly obtained property by false pretense valued at over $100,000, committed financial transaction fraud, and engaged in 19 counts of identity theft.
Williams was taken into custody on October 14, 2025, and booked into the Wake County Detention Center.
