Texarkana, AR — Authorities have rearrested Alejandro Mendoza, 34, a volunteer coach, on alleged charges of rape and other felonies involving a minor. Mendoza faces additional charges of internet stalking and six counts of engaging a child in sexually explicit conduct.

Special agents from the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force arrested Mendoza on Monday with assistance from the
U.S. Marshals Service and the Highway Patrol.

According to officials, Mendoza had allegedly communicated with a 13-year-old girl he first contacted when she was 12. Investigators allege that they exchanged explicit photos and engaged in sexual activity.

This rearrest follows Mendoza’s initial arrest on September 11, 2024, when authorities charged him with similar offenses involving juveniles. At that time, investigators uncovered explicit photos, which led to his charges of possessing sexually explicit content involving minors.

Mendoza remains in custody at the Nevada County Detention Center. The court set his bond at $2 million. The ongoing investigation involves out-of-state ICAC task forces to identify potential victims.
