Wakefield, VA – A stretch of cool and dry weather will continue through Monday before a midweek storm system brings rain and a sharp temperature drop, according to the National Weather Service in Wakefield.
Sunday and Monday will feature sunny skies with highs ranging from the upper 50s to mid-60s. Clouds will increase late Monday into Tuesday, leading to showers Tuesday evening as a warm front lifts north across the region.
A cold front is expected to follow quickly on Wednesday, bringing scattered showers and highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. Once the front passes, cooler and drier air will settle in just in time for Thanksgiving Day, when highs will range from the upper 40s to mid-50s under mostly sunny skies.
Cooler temperatures will persist through Friday, with highs in the 40s and lows in the 30s.
