Virginia Beach, VA – A hazy glow hovers over the coastline as light fog drifts across the sand. Pavement shines under damp morning air, the last trace of lingering showers before a brighter pattern begins.

The National Weather Service in Wakefield, Virginia, reports that patchy fog and light rain will clear through the morning, giving way to partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 60s. Sunday and Monday look crisp and clear — the kind of mild, late-fall weather perfect for early Thanksgiving travel or outdoor decorating before cooler air moves in later this week.

By Tuesday, however, another system will slide in from the west, bringing rain and scattered showers across southeast Virginia. Commuters and travelers using I-64 toward Richmond or Norfolk could face slower travel conditions, especially Tuesday night. Winds may pick up slightly along the coast as temperatures remain near 64°F before a dip midweek.

Nationally, a major cold front pushing across the country from the Midwest could spark winter-like conditions — including possible heavy snow — in parts of the central and northeastern U.S. between November 25 and December 3. While Virginia will stay mostly rain-driven, cooler air and gusty winds may follow the front into the holiday weekend.

Five-Day Outlook (Virginia Beach, VA):

  • Today: Fog early, clearing later, high 67°F.
  • Sunday: Sunny, high 59°F.
  • Monday: Sunny, high 55°F.
  • Tuesday: Rain likely, high 64°F.
  • Wednesday: Clearing, high 58°F.
