Virginia Man Faces Attempted Murder Charges After Road Rage Incident

Forestville, MD – A Virginia man has been charged with attempted murder and additional crimes after a reported road rage incident in Prince George’s County. The suspect, identified as Marco Williams, 46, of Alexandria, Virginia, was arrested in Fairfax County on April 9, 2025, following a fugitive operation led by the United States Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force and the Maryland State Apprehension Team.

Williams faces several allegations including attempted first-degree murder, felony assault, and firearms offenses. He is currently awaiting extradition to Maryland. Authorities have not identified the victim, who was uninjured in the incident.

The events unfolded on Thursday, April 3, 2025, when Maryland State Troopers from the Forestville Barrack responded to a reported shooting on Route 5 near Birchtrail Road in Prince George’s County. Police stated that the driver of a black 2023 Ford Explorer with Michigan tags, later identified as Williams, allegedly fired a handgun at the victim’s vehicle.

During the investigation, law enforcement officials obtained search warrants for Williams’ apartment and vehicle. During the operation, authorities discovered two loaded firearms and a substantial amount of narcotics. The Maryland State Police were assisted by officers from the Fairfax County Police Department and the Virginia State Police.
