Lynchburg, VA – A Lynchburg man was reported missing early Thursday morning, prompting Virginia State Police to issue a critically missing adult alert later in the day.
According to the Virginia State Police, the alert was activated at 2:30 p.m. Thursday on behalf of the Lynchburg Police Department after 20-year-old David Wayne Henry was last seen at approximately 4:00 a.m. on Leesville Road. Authorities say Henry may have left the area on foot and is believed to be at risk.
Henry is described as a white male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 136 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. He was possibly last seen wearing a white tank top featuring palm trees, baggy blue jeans, and black slide sandals.
Police state that Henry’s disappearance presents a credible threat to his health and safety, though no additional details regarding the nature of that threat were immediately released. The public is urged to remain vigilant and report any possible sightings or relevant information.
