Spotsylvania County, VA – Deputies are investigating an early-morning burglary at a pawn shop in the Four Mile Fork Shopping Center after suspects allegedly drove a stolen car through the storefront before fleeing with stolen items, according to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened around 5:50 a.m. on October 18, 2025, when a deputy on patrol in the area spotted a silver vehicle with front-end damage and headlights on. Minutes later, a burglary alarm sounded at a nearby pawn shop. Responding deputies discovered a vehicle had been driven through the front of the business, causing significant damage.

Investigators say four suspects forced their way inside, broke a display case, and stole multiple items before fleeing. Evidence suggests the suspects may have been attempting to steal firearms, though the shop had secured those items. The burglary lasted just 27 seconds, officials said.

The car found at the scene was determined to have been stolen out of Maryland. Deputies believe the suspects later fled in a silver sedan.

The case has been turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division, which remains active and ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office at (540) 582-7115 or Crime Solvers at (540) 582-5822. Tips may remain anonymous.
