Blacksburg, VA – A Flood Watch remains in effect for portions of southwest Virginiaand southeast West Virginia through Saturday morning, as heavy rainfall combined with snowmelt may lead to rising water levels in creeks, streams, and rivers.

According to the National Weather Service in Blacksburg, the affected areas include Tazewell, Bland, Giles, Craig, Alleghany, and Bath counties in Virginia, as well as Mercer, Summers, Monroe, and Greenbrier counties in West Virginia.
