Burlington, VT – Snow showers tonight followed by rain Monday morning could make for slick roads and tricky commutes. Residents should plan extra travel time, as temperatures hover near freezing and wind gusts add to the mix.

According to the National Weather Service, light snow is expected late tonight between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m., with minimal accumulation. A slight chance of rain and snow will persist Monday morning before turning to rain after 4 p.m. Winds will pick up from the south at 11 to 14 mph, with highs reaching 42 degrees.

Monday night will bring steady rain, breezy conditions, and gusts reaching up to 40 mph. Lows will remain mild at 38 degrees, but roadways may become slippery as rain tapers off overnight.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with a high of 48 degrees. A slight chance of rain showers remains, particularly in the early morning, before drier weather moves in later in the day. Wind gusts could reach up to 33 mph.

Looking further into the week, Wednesday will offer brief relief with highs around 41, but rain showers return Wednesday night, mixing with snow as temperatures drop to 27 degrees. By Thursday, residents can expect cloudy skies and lingering snow showers, with a high of 33 degrees.

Travelers are urged to monitor conditions closely and check for updates, as changing precipitation and gusty winds could impact travel. Local roads, especially during early morning commutes, may become hazardous with freezing patches or rain-slicked surfaces.
