Burlington, VT – Snowfall is expected to begin across much of Vermont early Monday morning, potentially impacting commuters throughout Burlington and the broader Champlain Valley region.

According to the National Weather Service in Burlington, precipitation will start as snow between 8 and 10 a.m. EDT on Monday, March 24, 2025. Areas along the St. Lawrence and Champlain Valleys may see a transition to rain by late morning, increasing the risk of slick road conditions during peak travel hours.

Snowfall totals are forecast to remain light, with most areas in Vermont receiving under 2 inches. Lincoln is expected to see the heaviest accumulation at approximately 3.4 inches by 8 p.m. Monday. Brattleboro and Chelsea may receive around 1.4 and 1.3 inches, respectively. Burlington is forecast to receive about 0.3 inches of snow.

The heaviest snow onset is projected between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. in Montpelier, Rutland, Manchester, and Springfield, while northern regions like St. Albans and Newport may see a slightly later start.
