Burlington, VT – Vermont residents can expect a mix of mild weather and scattered rain showers this week, with temperatures holding near seasonal averages.

According to the National Weather Service in Burlington, highs will generally reach the lower to mid-70s through the week, while overnight lows moderate into the 50s. Forecasters say frost or freeze conditions are not expected.

Rain chances will rise Monday night into Tuesday, with scattered showers possibly lingering into Wednesday. Additional light showers may return late in the week, carrying into Saturday. Most areas are forecast to receive a half inch of rain or less.

Communities across northern Vermont, including Burlington, Montpelier, St. Johnsbury, and Rutland, should prepare for damp conditions during the early and late portions of the week. The highest probabilities of precipitation—up to 75% in some towns—are expected Tuesday.

Despite the unsettled weather, temperatures are expected to remain steady and seasonable, making for comfortable daytime conditions when showers are not present.
