Burlington, VT – A cold front is moving into Vermont, bringing freezing temperatures overnight, beginning Sunday. Highs during the day will struggle to reach the mid-50s, while lows will plummet to the upper 20s and low 30s through Tuesday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, areas such as Lake Placid and Rutland are at the highest risk for sub-32°F conditions, with a 100% chance of freezing temperatures by Sunday night. Vermonters are urged to dress warmly and ensure outdoor plants and pets are protected from the cold.

By Monday and Tuesday, daytime highs will reach the mid-40s to 50s, though nighttime lows will continue to flirt with freezing. Plan accordingly if traveling on I-89 or Route 7, as frost may develop overnight.
