Black River Falls, WI – A traffic stop on State Highway 27 in Jackson County resulted in a vehicle pursuit and two arrests, including a wanted fugitive and a passenger allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted to stop a fleeing vehicle at about 5:50 p.m. Sunday in the Township of Manchester after receiving an alert from a license plate camera system that the suspect’s car had entered the county. Authorities said the incident began with an attempt-to-locate request for Jeremy Guy, 46, of Sparta, who was reportedly wanted on a felony warrant for probation and parole violations in addition to local charges. Officials also alleged that Guy may have been armed with a pistol.

After deputies attempted to pull over the suspect vehicle, it allegedly fled at a high rate of speed and eventually stopped on a dead-end road. Authorities said Guy, the driver, allegedly ran from the scene but was apprehended a short time later. Both Guy and a passenger, identified as Brenda Hintz, 61, of Black River Falls, were taken into custody without further incident. Deputies reported that suspected drugs were found on both individuals as well as inside the vehicle.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Hintz was arrested for alleged possession of methamphetamine. Guy was booked into the Jackson County Jail on charges including allegedly fleeing an officer, possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, obstructing an officer, and for his outstanding warrant.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with additional information regarding the case to contact authorities.
