Vancouver, BC — Vancouver residents can expect a stretch of cloudy skies, rain, and scattered showers lasting through Thursday, as spring weather patterns keep the region damp and mild.

According to Environment Canada, periods of rain began Friday night and will continue into Saturday morning, with up to 20 mm expected by early afternoon. Winds from the southeast may reach 40 km/h near the water. Temperatures will remain steady, with daytime highs around 10°C and nighttime lows ranging from 4°C to 8°C.

Showers are expected to ease briefly Sunday as a mix of sun and cloud emerges, but wet weather returns Monday through Thursday. Each day holds at least a 40 percent chance of precipitation, especially in the afternoons and evenings. Low-lying fog is possible overnight on Sunday, particularly after midnight.

Residents are advised to keep umbrellas and rain gear handy, especially during commutes. Roadways may become slick during periods of heavier rainfall. Although no alerts are currently in effect, shifting spring systems could bring rapid weather changes.

Sunrise will occur at 6:56 a.m. PDT, with sunset at 7:39 p.m. Conditions remain typical for early spring in coastal BC, with temperatures slightly below the seasonal normal of 13°C.
