Phoenix, AZ – Clear skies and rising temperatures will dominate the Valley of the Sun this week, with daytime highs near 90°F expected in Phoenix through at least Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service in Phoenix, Monday’s high will reach 90°F under mostly sunny skies, with calm winds shifting westward by afternoon. The heat continues Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs peaking around 91°F and overnight lows hovering in the low 60s.
The sustained warmth, paired with low humidity and light winds, increases the risk of dehydration and heat-related stress, especially for outdoor workers and those without access to cooling. Officials advise residents to stay hydrated, limit strenuous outdoor activity during peak afternoon heat, and never leave children or pets in parked vehicles.
Cities across Maricopa County, including Glendale, Tempe, and Scottsdale, will experience similar conditions. While the weather may feel typical for late April, temperatures are trending 5 to 7 degrees above seasonal averages.
The extended outlook shows continued sunshine and little relief at night, with lows only dipping to the low 60s. This early-season heat stretch is expected to last into Friday, with no significant weather changes on the horizon.
