According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Salt Lake City, snowfall accumulations of 1 to 4 inches are expected, with some areas in the upper Cottonwoods possibly receiving up to 6 inches. The advisory affects key areas including Logan Summit, Indian Canyon, Mirror Lake Highway, Mantua, Alta, Scofield, Brighton, and Moon Lake.
The snowfall is expected to create hazardous winter driving conditions. Officials warn that traction law restrictions may be enacted on affected roadways. Travelers are urged to check for updated road conditions via the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) at udottraffic.utah.gov before heading out.
