Utah residents will see calm and sunny weather to start the week, but a shift is coming with snow and rain expected by Thursday. Temperatures will remain in the upper 30s and low 40s through midweek before the next storm system moves in.
According to the National Weather Service, Salt Lake City will see mostly sunny skies on Monday, with highs near 38°F and lows dropping to 21°F overnight. Tuesday and Wednesday will remain dry, but temperatures will dip, with a high of 30°F on Wednesday.
By Thursday, conditions change as rain and snow showers develop. Highs will reach 42°F before colder air moves in overnight, bringing snow accumulation risks. The unsettled weather will continue into Friday, with more rain and snow likely.
Drivers should prepare for slick roads later in the week, especially on I-15 and I-80. Residents are encouraged to monitor weather updates and plan ahead for winter conditions by late Thursday.
