Salt Lake City, Utah – A stretch of light rain could make for slick roads in and around Salt Lake City Monday and Tuesday before the weather clears for a string of sunny, warmer days later this week.

According to the National Weather Service, a 20% chance of showers lingers through late Monday morning, followed by mostly clear skies Monday night. Tuesday brings another slight rain chance after noon with southeast winds reaching up to 7 mph. Despite the clouds, highs will reach 70°F Tuesday before warming even more midweek.

Drivers along I-15 should stay alert during midday Tuesday when isolated showers could cause minor delays or wet pavement. While no major storm activity is expected, any moisture may impact visibility and traction during the lunch or post-work hours.

By Wednesday, Salt Lake City shifts into summer mode. Sunshine dominates with highs near 72°F Wednesday and climbing to 81°F by Thursday. Winds calm down and skies stay mostly clear overnight, creating ideal conditions for outdoor plans and spring-to-summer transitions.

Looking further ahead, the weekend is shaping up to be warm and mostly sunny, with Saturday’s high pushing 82°F. Nighttime lows remain mild, hovering in the low to mid-50s.
