Salt Lake City, UT – A major winter storm is forecasted to bring heavy snowfall across various mountain regions in Utah from Thursday morning through late Thursday night.​

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Salt Lake City has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Wasatch Mountains (both north and south of I-80), Western Uinta Mountains, Wasatch Plateau/Book Cliffs, Central Mountains, and Southern Mountains. Snow accumulations are expected to range between 10 and 20 inches, with locally higher amounts of 2 to 3 feet in favored areas such as the Upper Cottonwoods and Brian Head. The watch is effective from Thursday morning through late Thursday night.​
