Salt Lake City, UT – A powerful winter storm is set to bring heavy snowfall to northern Utah, with up to 4 feet expected in some areas. A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 5 p.m. Friday through 8 p.m. Monday for the Wasatch Mountains I-80 North, including Logan Summit and Mantua.

According to the National Weather Service, the storm will bring 1 to 2 feet of snow, with localized totals reaching 4 feet in the Bear River Range. Blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility, especially along US-89 near Logan Summit. Winter driving conditions are expected, and traction laws may be enforced.

Snow levels will rise as the storm progresses, reaching 6,500 to 7,500 feet by Sunday afternoon, increasing snow density. Travelers should prepare for hazardous road conditions and check UDOT traffic updates before heading out.

Officials urge residents to keep flashlights, food, and water in vehicles in case of emergencies. For real-time weather updates, visit weather.gov/slc/winter.
