Salt Lake City, UT – A winter weather advisory remains in effect for the Wasatch Mountains north and south of I-80 until midnight MDT Saturday, with additional snowfall expected to impact travel.
According to the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City, locally favored areas could see up to two more inches of snow. Stronger snow showers will gradually diminish after sunset, with further clearing into the overnight hours.
Motorists traveling through Logan Summit, Mantua, Alta, and Brighton should prepare for possible winter driving conditions. The Utah Department of Transportation advises drivers to slow down and exercise caution, as snow accumulation could create slick roads along mountain routes.
