Salt Lake City, UT – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a fire weather outlook for parts of Utah, highlighting the increased potential for isolated dry thunderstorms.

The forecast, updated Wednesday morning, indicates that central and southern Utah will experience thunderstorms with minimal rainfall, potentially sparking wildfires in areas with receptive fuels.

According to the NWS, these high-based thunderstorms will be accompanied by gusty and erratic winds, raising concerns for fire spread. Residents are urged to remain vigilant and adhere to local fire restrictions.
