Urgent: Floyd County Under Tornado Warning Until 1:45 PM EDT

Floyd County, IN – Residents are urged to seek immediate shelter as a Tornado Warning has been issued until 1:45 PM EDT today.

According to the National Weather Service in Louisville, KY, the warning was issued at 1:08 PM EDT. Residents should move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building and avoid windows. Those outdoors, in mobile homes, or in vehicles should find substantial shelter and protect themselves from flying debris. This cluster of thunderstorms is capable of producing tornadoes and significant wind damage.
